Sunil Joshi Appeals for Reinstatement of Gadag to Bangalore Volvo Bus Service
Former Indian cricketer Sunil Joshi has appealed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy via X (formerly Twitter) to reinstate the Gadag to Bangalore Volvo bus service. Previously, the transport department had launched the service following Joshi’s request, but it has since been suspended, prompting Joshi to urge for its resumption.
In 2023, Joshi had also tweeted to the government requesting the Volvo bus service, which was initiated by then-Transport Minister B. Sriramulu in response to his appeal. However, the service was halted a few months later, leading Joshi to make another request for its reinstatement. He tagged CM Siddaramaiah, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, and Minister of State for Urban Development H. C. Mahadevappa in his appeal.
Bangalore to Gadag this Volvo bus has been cancelled, no reason known I would like to request the CM of Karnataka Hon. Sri. Siddaramaiah sir to look into it and do the needful.
